Program Overview

Our Toddler classes are playful, movement-based sessions that help young children explore their bodies, develop coordination, and engage socially. Classes incorporate both Dance and Yoga, along with interactive games and props, in a structure that keeps toddlers active, engaged, and learning throughout.

Class Length: 30 minutes | Frequency: Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly

Wam-up & Stretching

  • Greetings, review of class expectations, and settlings the children into the session.

  • Provides routine and structure to help toddlers feel secure and ready to participate.

Warm-up & Stretching

  • Fun, dynamic stretches to prepare the body for movement

  • Full-Body stretches and engaging movements that develop flexibility and coordination.

Movements

  • Dance Option:

    • Guided movement patterns to develop rhythm, coordination and spatial awareness.

    • Use of props such as scarves, ribbons and soft instruments to explore motion and sound.

    • Simple sequences and imitation activities to build confidence and motor skills.

  • Yoga Option:

    • Poses and flow designed to improve flexibility, balance and focus

    • Mindful movement integrated with playful interaction.

    • Activities help children build body awareness and control while remaining age-appropriate.

Games

  • Interactive games to reinforce skills learned during movement session.

  • Encourage social interaction, teamwork and turn-taking.

  • Examples: following simple movement patterns, partner mirroring, or music-based group games.

Cool Down:

  • Gentle stretching and calming activities to transition children back to a focused state.

  • Supports emotional regulation and prepares children for the end of class

Cleanup

  • Children participate in putting away props and tidying the space.

  • Encourage responsibility and routine.

Goodbyes

  • Short closing song or reflection to end the session positively.

  • Reinforces group connection and consistency in class routine.

Leanring Outcome

  • Gross and fine motor development through guided movement and games.

  • Coordination, balance, and rhythm via dance or yoga activities.

  • Social skills including cooperation, turn-taking and group participation.

  • Cognitive development through imitation, sequencing and following instructions.

  • Emotional regulation and focus through structured transitions and cool-down exercises.
